In short: Majd does not collect, sell or share your data. Everything Majd does happens inside your own browser.
What Majd stores
To work, Majd keeps a few things in your browser's own storage:
- Your settings: which protections are on, sites you paused, picture settings (normal, blurred or hidden) per site, your language, and any family and screen-time options you set.
- Your own filters: elements you chose to hide and filter lists you subscribed to.
- Counters: how many ads were blocked, used only inside Majd (for example, to decide when to show the support message).
- A per-page log of what was blocked on each open tab. It is deleted when the tab or the browser is closed.
- Screen time (only if you turn it on): minutes spent on the sites you chose to limit, for the current day.
Where it is stored
All of this stays on your device. If you use Chrome sync, Chrome syncs your Majd settings to your own Google account so they follow you to your other computers. That is handled by Google under Google's privacy policy; the developer of Majd cannot see it.
What Majd sends over the internet
Majd has no server and no analytics. It does not send your browsing history, the pages you visit or anything you type to anyone.
The only requests Majd makes by itself are to download filter lists you choose to subscribe to, from the address you entered. Those are plain lists of rules.
How the blocking works
Web addresses are checked against block lists inside your browser, using Chrome's built-in filtering. Majd does not read or record the text of the pages you visit. It only hides ad spaces and the elements you choose to hide.
Sharing
Majd does not sell, rent or share any data with anyone, and does not use data for advertising, credit or any purpose other than blocking unwanted content.
Deleting your data
You can change or clear your settings, filters and counters from Majd's options page at any time. Removing the extension from Chrome deletes everything it stored on your device.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date, and the Chrome Web Store listing will be updated.
